After reading some of the articles and posts about Junior commits, are they being hyped up or am I just reading it wrong. Every post seems to be about how they are top in the state, how TCU is the perfect fit, etc.

Maybe I am just reading to much into it, and highlight tapes to the untrained eye have me excited.

All these kids are extremely talented and I really feel like we'll see their recruiting explode this year. Staff did a great job being in on them early and getting an early offer out, as it does give us a leg up on others as far as their recruitment goes. REALLY REALLY hope these commits stick, as it could turn out to be an insane class if these kinds of pieces keep falling into place and staying there.

I think this is the year we really break into that next echelon of recruiting. Maybe not in the overall class rankings, because we're going to be taking a small class, but when it comes to getting a higher percentage of the early offers.

Fantastic start to this class

We're off to a great start so far. None of the kids have starsies yet but their tape and press clippings say enough.

Average stars is all I care about. It's ridiculous they base it on class size.

I'm thinking we could be looking at a top 15 class.

You gotta believe that the coaches aren't offering a bunch of jerk-off at this point. These guys accepting offers have to be some of the staffs top targets. From what I remember about last year, it seems like verbals (and they are nothing more than that) seem to be coming in at a much faster rate this time around. I think that was to be expected given this time last year the program was reeling after the drug bust.

It also seems like we are getting kids that normally wouldn't come here. More and more recruits are looking at TCU as opposed to other schools now that we are in the Big 12.

The players that are committing now are TCU's first choice players. That's significant. The coaches aren't settling for these guys after plans A,B,C & D turn us down.

Sure seems that way. Muehlstein looks like a ringer in those clips.

Completely agree. Guys like Nick Foster and Grayson Muehlstein probably won't ever get ranked as 4 stars since TCU was their only offer, similar to Sammy Douglas last year. They were obviously at the top of the coaches' list though.

Normally I'd say those rankings are a pretty good indication of how a kid could pan out in college, but if a kid isn't going to get starsies just bc TCU was the only offer, then screw whoever assigns the rankings. Bottom line is if we get talented kids into the program who can produce W's on the field, we'll be in good shape.

Althuogh, Steel would like to see more muscular legs on her; looks like she couldn't climb a big muontain with a 15 pound pack, which wuold be a deal breaker
